2024 Boston and New England Kidney Walk

One simple step can change a life.
 

We have a NEW location – previously at North Point Park and now it’s going to be located at Assembly Row for this year's Boston and New England Kidney Walk on Sunday, October 6, 2024, site opens at 8:30am. Whether you're planning to captain a team, attend with friends, or bring your kids, our Kidney Walk is a wonderful way to spend the day giving back to the local kidney community. 
 
Please register all participants regardless of age, including children. We ask that ALL Walkers register for the Walk regardless of age. Online registration is highly encouraged, but you may also register on-site at the Walk.

What to Expect on Walk Day!

 
Parking: Free parking across the street from Sylvester Baxter Riverfront Park. The park is adjacent to Tony C’s and near Starbucks. You can park anywhere in the Market parking lot. Additionally, there is TJ Maxx, Raymour & Flanigan’s and Trader Joe’s. We will have signs directing you to the park onsite. 

Directions: Click on Sylvester Baxter Riverfront Park on the Walk website to view directions from any location via Google Maps.

8:30am: The NKF Walk festivities begin!

• If you have any additional cash or checks that you would like to turn in, go to the Donation tent which you will see upon entering the park.  
• Activities: NKF Kids corner – including kids activities; coloring stations, games, magicians, stilt walkers, face painter, temp tattoo (airbrush) artist, and a balloon twister to create art for children and tables from our Sponsors. Squeeze Massage will have a few Massage Therapists for walkers, get a massage before or after the walk! Don’t forget to get a photo with Sidney the Kidney! 
• All team captains are encouraged to visit the NKF Tent to sign the walk banner. There will be materials there to pick up and decorate your team banner. Feel free to bring photos or other items to decorate your banner!

• No matter the weather, we walk together! The Walk is rain or shine. Please check the weather forecast and plan accordingly. Don’t forget your sunblock, hat and water bottle. 
• Route: Non-competitive 5K walk around the park. The route is wheelchair, stroller, and leashed-dog friendly! We will have a 1-mile marker turnaround point if you want to head back.

Remember, if you raise $100 or more you will receive a Kidney Walk t-shirt. We do not hand these out on-site. Make sure to indicate your mailing address and t-shirt size in your Walk profile, so you will receive it. If you raise $1,000 or more, you are a Top Fundraiser and will receive a Kidney Walk top fundraiser vest.

The National Kidney Foundation is revolutionizing the fight to save lives by eliminating preventable kidney disease, accelerating innovation for the dignity of the patient experience, and dismantling structural inequities in kidney care, dialysis and transplantation.

No problem! You are always welcome to walk on your own time. You can utilize our app to connect with other walkers in your area and across the U.S. who are choosing to walk the same way!  No matter how you choose to walk we will all be united by our belief in the need for better care and longer lives for kidney patients – for YOU and the ones you love.
