Why I Walk
My life has been inexorably linked to kidney issues. Between my grandfather and uncle only being born with one kidney, to my other uncle having kidney disease and multiple transplants, to my own transplant, and now my sister's recent transplant, my life has revolved around this topic. I even work in dialysis now too!
I'm walking as a tribute to my sister and I, who have had to go through so much at an earlier age than most who deal with kidney disease and who now are both transplant recipients! I'm walking for my mom and the Jane Doe who both made the brave and caring decision to be donors. And I'm walking for more research and resources, so that other families don't have to walk the same path we have.
Please consider supporting my efforts with a generous donation.
