What time should I be at the walk? Registration for the Kidney Walk starts at 9:00 - registration, snacks, health and wellness tents, entertainment, and more will be ongoing before the opening ceremony, which will begin at 9:40am before the walkers take off on the walk route at 10:00am.
Where should I park? Free Parking is available on campus using Commons Park Garage - Lots 1, 2,3, and 4.
What should I do with any cash or checks when I arrive? If you have donations to turn in that morning, please proceed to the check-in tent; one of our volunteers can help. We can also take credit card donations.
Who gets a t-shirt and where should I pick it up? Every walker who raises $100 or more will receive a Kidney Walk t-shirt. Walkers who raise $1000 or more will receive a Top Fundraiser fleece vest. All shirts are mailed directly to walkers, and you will receive them within two weeks after the event. We will not have t-shirts available on walk day. Where is a good place for our team to meet? Great meeting places are near the NKF Arch or the Team Photo Area and orange kidney backdrop.
Will there be food and beverages at the walk? Yes, we will have light snacks and water at the walk. We will also have three food trucks on location: Joyride Java, Kona Ice, and Jimmy's Seafood.
Is the walk handicap accessible? Yes, the event and the entire walking route are handicap-accessible.
Are dogs welcome? Sadly no. Campus rules state dogs cannot attend. Trust us, we are just as sad about this as you are.
Is the walk rain or shine? All Kidney Walks are rain or shine. If there are extenuating circumstances, NKF staff will email walkers of any plan changes in an email to all registered participants.
Is there a hashtag I should use on social media? Yes! We love seeing your photos! Please use hashtag #KidneyWalk to show off your orange pride!
