WHY WE WALK!
Kidney Walks are a vital source of support as we provide real-time assistance for those in need. More than 80 cents of every dollar donated goes to research, patient services, professional education, public health education, and community services.

  • Action: We ensure that 37 million Americans living with chronic kidney disease get diagnosed, treated and supported early.

  • Education: We provide the public, patients, and healthcare professionals with tools to promote kidney health.

  • Accelerating Change: We advocate for change on Capitol Hill and support life-saving research

We can't wait to see you at the 2024 Baton Rouge Kidney Walk!
We're celebrating "May the 4th be With You" at the Baton Rouge Kidney Walk, a walk that celebrates Star Wars fans and wook-alikes everywhere, the importance of organ donation and keeping your kidneys healthy.   In the spirit of Star Wars, this will be a FUN opportunity to get out your lightsaber and practice your best Darth Vader impersonation, as well as dress up in your favorite Star Wars race outfit and raise funds for the programs and services of the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.
Storm to fundraising victory costumed as Star Wars Stormtroopers. Dress up as the imposing Imperial soldiers as you and your troop march through the local terrain. When you get all your colleagues to walk to work, or trek along the Kidney Walk route with your family and friends, it’s an excellent way to put the "fun" in fundraising!
Trophies will be awarded for best group costumes and best individual costume.
