WHY I WALK I walk because my cousin/brother/friend was born with prune belly syndrome which affected his kidneys. I walk because when he was with us he never let his kidney issues stop him from living his life. He lived in 3 different states, he worked a full-time job while being on dialysis as a licensed security guard. He was blessed to receive to kidney transplants and a couple other obstacles. Before passing we committed to doing 3 kidney walks a year and now that our footprints went from 4 to 2, Artis Pough Jr III I will continue to see our mission through. Prune belly syndrome is a disease that is causes babies not to be fully developed. Most of them are stillbirths and the others typically don't live past a couple of weeks- 10yrs old. The cause of death is usually from either chronic lung or kidney issues. I his memory I will continue to support the kidney foundation Come walk with me.
