No problem! You are always welcome to walk on your own time. You can utilize our app to connect with other walkers in your area and across the U.S. who are choosing to walk the same way! No matter how you choose to walk we will all be united by our belief in the need for better care and longer lives for kidney patients – for YOU and the ones you love.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register?
Yes, everyone who intends to walk must register for the NYC Kidney Walk. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jen Khedaroo.
Where is Foley Square located?
What time should I plan to arrive?
The event will begin at 8:30am. We’ll have plenty of festivities including a photobooth, face painting, and more!
What happens if it rains?
The NYC Kidney Walk is rain or shine!
Is street parking available?
There is very limited street parking available, but there are parking garages in the area. Please plan accordingly.
What is the nearest subway station?
The nearest subway stations include: J, Z to Chambers Street or Canal Street; 4, 5, 6 (local and express) to Brooklyn Bridge – City Hall or Canal Street; and N, R, W to City Hall. Please double check with the MTA’s website to ensure there are no service interruptions that morning.
How long is the NYC Kidney Walk?
The Kidney Walk is 1.3 miles long. We will start from Foley Square, make our way to the Brooklyn Bridge, then we will turn back at the halfway point on the iconic bridge to return to Foley Square.
Do you allow pets?
Yes! Dogs are allowed but please keep your furry friend on a leash and clean up after it.
Are strollers permitted?
Strollers are permitted on the walk.
Is the walk route wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The majority of the Kidney Walk takes place on New York City streets, with the help of NYPD patrol. If you wish to turn back at any point, or you wish to remain at the event site while your team members walk, you may absolutely do so!
Will there be refreshments?
There will be water and light snacks available onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Where do I drop off my donations?
All donations can be turned in at the Day of Donations tent. For credit card donations, there are also QR codes available throughout the event site that you can scan to make a donation online.
Are there restrooms available?
Yes, we will have port-a-potties located at the event site.
