Why I Walk

Every year thousands of people will be diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease. Kidney disease is a debilitating affliction that requires significant lifestyle changes to maintain a favorable prognosis. For the nearly one million Americans who suffer from end-stage kidney disease, thousands are unable to seek treatment due to monetary barriers.

I have always adhered to the belief that money should not be the decisive factor that influences a patient's willingness to participate in a medically-indicated treatment. That is why I am walking for the National Kidney Foundation and I hope that others will join me in this cause.
