Why We Walk

This year, our team has joined others throughout the country to fight against kidney disease. On October 06, 2024 we’ll walk for our loved ones, colleagues or friends who cope with this devastating chronic illness each day – and for those who lost their fight too soon.

This year I walk with several people on my heart. A dear friend who was removed from the transplant list, a former student and friend that has been dealing with rejection over the last several months, a little 9 month old girl who is fighting a kidney related fight and a new friend who is transplanting on August 6. Please join me in supporting these and many others.

Together, we walk to support the life changing work of the National Kidney Foundation:
     - To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
     - To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
     - To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
