Last summer my kidneys began to fail and by the end of the year the doctor’s indicated that I will need a new kidney.  Unfortunately, my kidneys failed at an accelerated rate and I went on dialysis in May.

Fortunately, I had several people step up and were tested for a “kidney match”.   I had two donor matches, my wife Leah and my sister Connie.  I received my new kidney from my sister on July 22^nd.  Leah and my other sister were a great support team as Connie and I recovered from the kidney transplant.  I am so thankful for everyone that supported me during this journey.  

I was unaware of the need for kidney donors until I needed one.  I was also unaware of all the work that the Kidney Foundation accomplishes.  My kidney team has decided to help raise money by participating in a fund-raising Walk that is on October 6^th.   
  
Our entire team is participating at the Walk.
