Why I Walk

On July 22, 2024 I became a donor for my brother Jeff that was in need of a kidney transplant.  The surgery and recovery process has been very successful.    I learned a lot about the "gift of life" as I walked through the journey of how to become a donor.  Our family's experience with organ donation has given me a new appreciation for kidney health and organ donations.  

I invite you to walk with us on Oct. 6 at Chicken N Pickle, 1240 N Greenwich Rd in Wichita.  Festivities start at 9:00 am.  There will be a program which kicks off the walk and includes a patient story, t-shirt contest and recognition of top fundraisers.  

Following the Walk, a give-back brunch will be held from 11:00am to 1:00 pm.  A portion of the brunch proceeds will support the work of the Kidney Foundation.   

Please consider joining me, my brother, sister, friends and family as we raise awareness of Kidney disease and the gift of life though organ donations.
