Why I Walk
I've wanted to build organs since I was a teenager. At the time, it just sounded like a really amazing dream job...something I may never achieve, but something to strive toward because it was just so darn cool. Fast forward to today, I work at a company that is bioengineering transplantable human kidneys (and livers) with a mission to eliminate the organ transplant waitlist. And it's through this work, that I've met so many individuals suffering from kidney disease and really started to understand and see first-hand just how hard it is for them to live and thrive. Now my dream job is not just a cool dream job, it's a calling. And although I cannot wait to build a better tomorrow for these individuals, I am really excited to join the fight for kidney disease today and support the National Kidney Foundation at the Twin Cities Kidney Walk.
If interested in joining my mission and fight against kidney disease, please consider making a donation at the link above. These funds go toward education, kidney disease awareness (kidney disease is often undetected until it's too late), public policy advocation, support for kidney patients and their families, as well as life-saving research to help build a better future and outlook on kidney disease.
I see a future where everyone who needs a kidney can get one, but today...I walk!
Please consider supporting my efforts with a generous donation.
