Saturday, October 12 | walk: 9am | Allianz Field, St. Paul

Hello!
I’m Tina, and I am asking you to help join me this year for the National Kidney Foundation’s Twin Cities Kidney Walk.

I have people in my life and family who have suffered from kidney cancer, kidney disease, are living with only one kidney or who have passed from this disease. I am asking friends and family to join me on this walk either in person or virtually if they are able.

I am also helping to fundraise for this event and am asking if individuals can donate at least $10 to help me reach my goal of $250.
Every little bit counts and every little bit helps.

FAQS
When and where will the kidney walk be held?
Saturday, October 12 | walk: 9am | Allianz Field, St. Paul
Walkers also have the option to participate virtually, where they can choose when, how and where they walk, while still being a critical part of our Kidney Walk community.

Is there a fee to walk?
There is no registration fee, but we are asking for donations to help support and provide lifesaving programs and services to the 37 million (more than 1 in 7) American adults currently living with chronic kidney disease, and the 1 in 3 adults who are at risk.

Can my child participate?

The walk is a family event and all ages can participate. You should register your children either online or on the day of the event.  By registering your children, you are signing that waiver of participation on their behalf if they are under the age of 18. Each person attending the event needs to have a signed waiver. Strollers are also allowed.

Chronic kidney disease, also called chronic kidney failure, involves a gradual loss of kidney function. Your kidneys filter wastes and excess fluids from your blood, which are then removed in your urine. Advanced chronic kidney disease can cause dangerous levels of fluid, electrolytes and wastes to build up in your body.

In the United States, about 35.5 million adults, or 14% of the population, are estimated to have chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, most of these cases are undiagnosed, and 40% of people with severely reduced kidney function are unaware that they have CKD.
