Why We Walk

As many of you may know, our mom has been battling kidney disease for over 20 years. She goes to dialysis 2 days a week for 4-5 hours each time and it hasn't been easy on her. She is no longer eligible for a transplant and will be on dialysis for the rest of her life. We have now understand that dialysis is a form of "life support" and the average life expectancy for someone on dialysis is 5-10 years. Our mom has been on it for 2 years. This is why causes like the Southern Colorado Kidney Walk are important to us. On September 29, 2024 we’ll walk for Jan and all those who deal with kidney disease everyday.
