I’m grateful that NKF is a wealth of information for patients and their loved ones, I’m grateful that we’re paving the way for new treatments, I’m grateful that we’re advocating to make transplants more accessible for all who are awaiting a life-saving transplant, and I’m grateful that we can be a source of hope for everyone who has been touched by kidney disease. It’s our why, it’s my why.

- My friend Wilson, who spent nearly six years on dialysis and who is now living a full life and paying it forward everyday two years post-transplant. I couldn’t be more honored that I was able to share my spare on his behalf!
- We get to help people like our friend Alex who is now back on dialysis awaiting another transformative transplant.
- And closer to home, we get to help people like my brother Matt, who is so many wonderful things that a human can be, kind, funny, creative, a loving dad, husband, son, brother…and is now a member of the one kidney club due to cancer that affected his kidney.
