Why I Walk
Thank you for taking the time to look at our stories. Originally diagnosed with CKD years ago I started dialysis about 2 years ago. At 43 We were blessed with our daughter. I joke and say by the time she graduates high school I will be the perceived “grandparent” in the front row. But I do pray, and my hope is, to get to that point but for right now I am enjoying so much of my experiences with my Baby. Lol I did not mean to get started so late but would like to see her finish off a lot of her milestones. That is what motivates me the most to even ask for considerations for such a life changing gift from others. I am also equally moivated for my Brother whom is also afflicted with kidney disease. We are both awaiting transplants. Honestly as I said earlier thank you for checking our stories and for even considering this gift of literally giving a part of yourself with a donation. Even just informing others of this need gives more of us more of a chance for longer times and experiences with our families. Any gibing is truly a monumental gift and sacrifice for others. I am just asking anyone to just "give up" a lunch for for the cause. just at least $10 dollars we normally spend on a lunch or coffee break. One day out the week.
