WHY I WALK I walk because it's a journey I've lived through myself. As a child, my left kidney was underdeveloped. I was constantly in & out of the hospital with chronic UTIs & kidney infections, a cycle that eventually led to the surgical removal of my left kidney. Now living with just one kidney, I face the ongoing challenge of kidney disease every day. This experience has fueled my passion to raise awareness and advocate for better care, research, and support for those facing similar struggles. Walking for kidney disease means giving a voice to all of us who are fighting to live healthier, longer lives despite this condition.
