Why I Walk for Kidney Disease: For My Mother and Myself

This year, I'm taking a stand against kidney disease by creating a team to raise awareness and support for this critical cause. As a kidney patient myself, I know firsthand the challenges this disease brings, and I want to make a difference for others who face the same fight.

I've named our team the De La Vara Kidney Walk Warriors-a team dedicated to raising awareness, supporting patients, and championing the fight against kidney disease.

My mother has suffered from this disease for years, and through that time, I've seen little progress or awareness about its impact. It's time to change that. It's time to make kidney disease a priority, to bring support to those who need it, and to push for a better future.
