Why I Walk

As a Nephrology Nurse for the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of caring for and supporting so many incredible individuals living with kidney failure. Every day, I witness their resilience, strength, and determination in the face of this challenging condition. Their journeys have deeply impacted me, fueling my passion for advocating, educating, and making a difference in their lives.

I walk to honor my patients, past and present, who inspire me with their courage. I walk to raise awareness about kidney disease, the importance of early detection, and the life-changing impact of kidney transplants. For many, a transplant offers a second chance at life, yet the need far outweighs the availability of donors.

I walk because every step brings us closer to better resources, greater support, and increased awareness about organ donation. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by kidney disease!
