Why We Walk

In May of 2023, one of our TDI employees was very suddenly diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure and needed a transplant. That fall, ChariTDI organized several successful fundraising events for Allie and her family for when transplant time came.  Ultimately, Allie was successfully transplanted in January of this year and our efforts greatly impacted her ability to recover as stress free as possible

This year, Allie has decided to continue the legacy of Allie's Allies to help other affected by Kidney Disease as it's become a part of her life.  To assist her in this effort, our ChariTDI team has joined others throughout the country to fight against kidney disease. On October 27, 2024 we’ll walk for our loved ones, colleagues or friends who cope with this devastating chronic illness each day – and for those who lost their fight too soon.  TDI will be matching donations (match limit TBD).

Please join us at the Philadelphia Navy Yard to walk as a team.  If you cannot join in person, reach out to Allie or go to the Nation Kidney Foundation to learn how to use the app to walk at home.

Together, we walk to support the lifechanging work of the National Kidney Foundation:
     - To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
     - To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
     - To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
