Why I Walk
I walk because too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.Kidney disease and the mission of the National Kidney Foundation is very personal to me.
I have a chronic kidney disease called Nephronophthisis.
That means I will need a transplant eventually.
I have named my kidneys; the left is Goose and the right is Berry. Goose (short for Augusta) is very silly and has an amazing personality and loves to have fun while Berry, on the right (short for Mr. Berrington of Berrington City) is proper and does not like to be corrected.
I named my kidneys because I would like to take care of them and I want them to have the best kidney life that any kidney with Nephronophthisis could have. Soon Goose and Berry will have a friend. (If you have name suggestions you can tell me.)
This is why Mama, Daddy and Webb are walking in the 2024 Memphis Kidney Walk. I need your help to reach $250 by September 28, 2024. Your generosity will help kidney patients and their families get the care and support they need to survive. Join my team, support my efforts with a gift, or you can just tell me good luck.
It’ll be great to have you on Team Goose and Berry!
Sincerely,
Dyer😊
Please consider supporting my efforts with a generous donation.
