As you may or may not know, I received a kidney transplant on February 18, 2020 ... and my wife was my donor!  Crazy, I know.

However, I am one of the lucky ones.  As of August 21, 2024 there are 93,000 on the transplant wait list on top of the 37,000,000 Americans suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

93,000 on the list ... 37,000,000 impacted by CKD.  

To put that in perspective ... that's the equivalent of all fans at the next 597 Super Bowls that are impacted by CKD, or 1 in 7 Americans.

That's a lot of people ... and probably someone who you care about.

And that's why we walk.

We Walk because too many families (like mine) have to deal with this devastating chronic illness, and tens of thousands more will face this battle head on in the year to come.

We Walk to support the life changing work of the National Kidney Foundation that:
     -Ensures families will have a place to turn when they need answers.

     -Keeps fighting for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.

     -Drives innovation in transplantation and get those 93,000 people off the transplant.

And we need your help.  

Our goal is to raise $10,000 by October 1, 2024 ... and all we need is for everyone getting this note to donate to the cause. $20 (the equivalent of a 12 pack of beer), $50 (the equivalent of 3 months of Spotify), $100 (the equivalent of a night out for dinner) ... or anything you can spare.

Your donation will help someone beat this nasty disease ... and most likely help someone you don't know is suffering.
