Why I Walk

I walk for family, friends, and individuals who know someone or who are battling kidney disease. I want to support others like myself who are coping, learning and accepting there kidney disease. Ever since I was 2 I got diagnosed with a kidney disease; up until recently I got the diagnosis of Alport Syndrome. Alport syndrome is a genetic disorder affecting around 1 in 5,000-10,000 children, characterized by glomerulonephritis, end-stage kidney disease, and hearing loss. I walk for families and individuals going through kidney disease and to let everyone know that you’re not alone!
