Why I Walk
I walk to honor the courage of my patients. The ones who face illness and uncertainty on a daily basis, relying on a sharp dialysis needle to live until they finally receive their life-saving transplant.
I walk for my kids, to lead by example, to demonstrate compassion, and to ensure that they know there are themes in life greater than what we deal with day-to-day.
I walk to support National Kidney Foundation:
Their family programs, educational programs, and patient
advocacy.
