I walk in honor of my dad, Daniel Oviedo, and for the countless families like mine who are navigating the challenges of chronic kidney disease. Each step I take represents the struggle, strength, and hope that kidney patients and their families endure every day.

I walk because too many families are impacted by this devastating illness, and in the coming year, thousands more will face the unexpected diagnosis of kidney disease.

I walk to support the life-saving work of the National Kidney Foundation:

• To ensure families have the answers and resources they desperately need.
• To advocate for vital policy changes that protect kidney patients and living donors.
• To drive innovation in transplantation and help get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
