Why I Walk
I walk because I have witnessed first hand, as a daughter, as a nurse and as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, how too many families (like mine) are coping with this devastating chronic illness, and thousands more will face an unexpected kidney disease diagnosis in the year to come.

I spent years being the primary caretaker of my grandmother, and my father who we tragically lost to complications of end stage renal disease July 14, 2022. Since losing him, I have felt a sense of needing to help other families fight against this illness and to be of assistance if finding resources to manage it.
