Why I Walk

On July 25th 2024, I was diagnosed with focal segmental glomberuloscletosis, a type of chronic kidney disease that causes scar tissue buildup in the kidney filters. The diagnosis changed my life as I had to make adjustments to my diet and take control of my blood pressure. While I may not know the exact cause of my condition, I am determined to take charge of my health and have a positive outlook on life.

I support the National Kidney Foundation because they are dedicated to helping people with kidney disease. They provide a lot of resources like nutrition information for a kidney friendly diet, transplant and dialysis resources, and emotional support for those who are going through life as a kidney disease patient.

Please join me in the fight for a better world for people who have been diagnosed with kidney disease.
