At this years Kidney Walk, I am celebrating FIVE YEARS post transplant! As I write this, I reflect back on the last five years of life. Thanks to my Aunt Nancy (my real life hero/angel), I have been given the gift of life and the ability to LIVE. Believe me, I certainly have LIVED! Since my life-saving transplant, I have been blessed with two beautiful and healthy children, Riley and Connor. They are my reasons why - why I continue to advocate for kidney research and why I fight every single day to stay healthy. 

I am blessed to have an amazing husband, Tim, and the most supportive family who are always by my side. I am thankful for my NYP Weill Cornell team always, but especially during the challenging times as they continue to provide me with state-of-the-art care to ensure my health. 

This year I am walking for myself, my family, and for all the kidney patients who want to LIVE. Please join me on Sunday, November 13th by walking and/or donating to this very dear cause. As always, consider becoming an organ donor as it could save a life!
