Why I Walk

The Kidney Walk holds a special place in my heart. My father and I both suffered from Polycystic Kidney Disease. He endured dialysis for 14 years, and sadly lost his battle 21 years ago, while I underwent it for a year. I was blessed to receive a kidney transplant from my best friend on January 22, 2024. I also have other family members who have also faced renal failure. Given these personal experiences, I actively participate in the Kidney Walk to raise awareness and promote the life-saving potential of organ transplantation.
