Why I Walk

I walk because I never fully understood how many families were affected by kidney disease until mine was. Ever since learning more about this devastating illness, I've been very passionate about raising awareness not only about kidney disease but also about living donation. As a living donor, I want to support families considering this donation process, and the National Kidney Foundation is instrumental in helping make that possible.

I walk to support the life-changing work of the National Kidney Foundation:
     - To ensure that families will have a place to turn when they need answers.
     - To keep up the fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and living donors.
     - To drive innovation in transplantation and get more loved ones off the kidney transplant waitlist.
