Why I Walk

I am a living kidney donor to my daughter, Conley Marie. She is a strong, brave, kidney warrior who has overcome so many challenges in her short life.  But I know that many kidney patients aren't so blessed. Kidney patients in brown and black communities, kidney patients in rural or disadvantaged socio-economic communities are not as fortunate. We need to level the playing field and address health disparities. All kidney patients deserve quality care and education about their health care choices. All kidney patients deserve access to a transplant, if appropriate.  I walk with Team Somatus, a company I'm honored to work for, that is dedicated to revolutionizing kidney care and addressing health disparities in kidney care.
