I’m so excited to share the highlight reel video that NKF produced to show the impact our staff, volunteers, sponsors, patients, and donors make in the kidney community. The video features different events, initiatives, and key measures in how we support our patients and bring awareness to kidney disease. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ7gg_vK-gw

Calling all friends and family!
Who is interested in enjoying a great day at Pittsburgh Zoo while supporting kidney patients and the efforts of the National Kidney Foundation?Join my team! All that I ask is that you make a meaningful donation—whatever that may be to you! If you make a $10 donation, that’s half off the typical cost to get in at the Zoo for adults! So that's a win for you and a win for NKF too!
So, will I see you at the Zoo on Sunday, November 13th?
- 8 AM: Registration opens
- 9 AM: Registration closes and Walkers must be in Zoo gates
- 9:30 AM: the Walk program begins
- 9:45 AM: Walk Countdown and Kickoff begins
As some of you may know, I was born with only one kidney. Prayerfully, it will keep working well for the rest of my life. But if not, I will be going straight to God in prayer, to NKF for help, and one of the many intelligent and caring nephrologists that partner with the NKF.
I walk for…
• my cousin Devon who died at just 36 years old while waiting on a kidney transplant.
• my cousin Trisa who is a kidney cancer survivor.
• all of the beautiful kidney patients that I’ve met since starting to work at NKF.
• the parents of the children who have kidney disease.
• all those who are at-risk and don’t know it.
• the medical professionals who treat their patients like family, and put in extra time volunteering and getting education to move the needle in a positive direction for the whole kidney community.
There are 3 simple ways you can help and make a difference!
1. Join my team + make a donation of any amount (every dollar helps!)
2. Share my Walk page.
3. Go to Minuteforyourkidneys.org to take a one-minute quiz to find out if you are at risk, and share it on your social media accounts.
